for MBA, there could be some factors which may drive MBA Aspirants decision for
Institute selection.
City Atmosphere: : XYZ city is really happening, Life style & compatibility
with language, food, weather, safety, security and other factors which makes life
rocking in this city.
Cost of living: XYZ city is rocking; most happening but is it affordable
for MBA Aspirants. Cost of Study (Tuition fees, research work, stationery and other
facilities), Cost of accommodation, transportation, food and other expenses makes
it affordable or not affordable.
Placements Opportunities:Placement opportunities and growth mainly depends
on industries located in that city or near to that city. Basic salary, Profile,
growth opportunity and other related factors are few such factors which may turn
your career bright financially.
Faculties & Industrial Exposure: Availability and quality of Full time &
Part time faculties, Guest Faculties, their experience & expertise. Industrial Exposure
means Industrial visits, case studies, frequency and quality (Management Development
Programme) MDP’s and other programmes are some of the important factors which add
value to your course.
Infrastructure: This section means infrastructure is supposed to be enough
for higher education. Here infrastructure includes building, Library, Computer lab,
Furniture, classroom, Auditorium, Updated technology & Other Facilities. As far
as metro and semi metro cities are concerned you may not face problems but available
facilities may differ.
Course & Approvals: Availability of Two year Full time course such as MBA
(UGC Approved), PGDM (AICTE Approved) or Combination Courses such as PGP (Autonomous)
+ MBA (UGC, DEC Approved). Up to some extent Course approval makes a difference
in Institute selection but ultimately Industrial Exposure and Placement is must.
Availability of Options, Course Contents, Difficulty level and Programme structure
is also important. Say you may find XYZ city with 20 institute offering MBA or PGDM
or PGP but content is same or contents are not at par with other cities.
Admission Process: Admission process may differ institute to institute, some
cities or states are bound with State level exam/ specific exam or Quota based system
which gives limited choice for outsider/general students. What do u thing about
admission process, is it very easy, too tough, you are not eligible for this option
or else. Mainly Admission process means written test followed by Group Discussion
& Personal Interview. Difficulty level, availability or cutoff may differ institute
to institute or place to place.
